Saving Site Configuration to a File

From time to time it is a good idea to save the site meta data (configuration) to a file. I do this every time I make a change to the site configuration. It’s also good to have a backup in case something bad happens to the server.

If you read Backing up Your Data with cwRsync and snyc2nas you learned how to send your data to an off site server. Now I’ll show you a couple ways to make incremental zipped backups that you can store on your server to transfer with sync2nas or FTP the backup to your home box.
